What type of fishing are you mainly using the yak for?

Each yak has it's positives and negatives; speed, ease of distance pedalling etc..etc..

I use both Native and Hobie, both dominate in their own right.

Eskys are always good value...and waterproof. Put some hinges on one end to have it open lengthwise.

If you're using an inflatable PFD, you'll need to practice climbing on with it inflated. When the PFD is inflated it's way more difficult/awkward to get back on due to the increase in size.

I've done a lot of rock climbing and setting permanent fixtures into rock...personally I preferred to use Expansion Bolts. Not that I know of. As far as I know, we all only found out about it on Friday...two days after the cutoff time! VRFish are right on it at the moment, communicating with Maritime Safety and Parks Vic.
