Re: Safety - EPIRB/PLB, flares, essential?
Yes you will need to deploy the PLB antenna and hold it up in the air for a few minutes. If it is attached to you or your jacket then the not floating is not a problem. Just keep it attached so you don't drop it and lose it. It takes only a few minutes of airtime to send a distress with your positi...

Re: Safety - EPIRB/PLB, flares, essential?

I don't think there is anything fearful about trying to your self as safe as possibl...

Re: Safety - EPIRB/PLB, flares, essential?

I always have safety gear on me and with my yak- Flares, PLB, VHF, Floating torch, Mob in w/proof Lanyard, Bilge pump, spare oar & safety flag. At nigh...

Re: Tough trip to Tyers
Do you think a caravan would get into trident arm camp ground out of peak season? glassed out conditions are always special when it’s in a new location, it makes it easier to take in your surroundings without battling the wind. I’m thinking of heading there in February once the school holiday rush ...

Morning bash.
Hit up Gunners at first light this morning, as always, travelling light, and prospect casting while on the move. Got onto the first patch in the wash adjacent to the deep area with the steep back wall, carried on al the way to the very end, hitting small patches of fish all the way up. Kept a dozen ...
