Re: How far do you cast away from your boat??

Casting away from the boat results in more entanglements unless there is near zero current.

Re: So what's happening at Lakes Entrance

Thanks for the report re-tyred, I find it encouraging that some salmon have shown up. I lure fish Bunga beach regularly but they have been hard work so far. Almost exactly to the day 12 months ago, I got my pb salmon at Bunga, a beast of 73 cm, ( about 4.7 kg ). I think water temps are a bit lower t...

At 6.30 Orbost lost power and it only came back on a little while ago. The town was surrounded by fire and those of us w...

Side the trawler was is the western side. Access via Drew jetty. Cross the entrance channel and it is the first jetty. Has a sign on it. Old derelict house there
so no landbased access?
Yes just a bloody long walk from loch sport :rf: :rf:

Re: Bad season or bad forum?

It is good for the town businesses. Not that I work for a living anymore , but there are plenty who are struggling here. Lakes has lost huge money earners over the years with forestry, fishing, farming and mining all falling out of favour with city based voters. Now the fires have killed this years...
