Re: *NEW SITE FEATURE* Like Button
It will be interesting to see if this feature makes any noticeable difference to the forum. Hopefully it will increase the number of interesting, amusing and constructive posts and reduce the number which add nothing to the thread. Time will tell.

Re: Boof Diary 2019
It was a pleasant surprise to see the "Truedogz" name on the top of a post again. Wonderful, detailed reports and photos about a species and methods of fishing that I know little about. I still harbour some hopes that the pain of your earlier disappointment will eventually ease enough for you to onc...

Re: Ebay win tonight bargain or POS
I have fished almost exclusively with baitcasters for many years now. I'm pretty proficient with my casting but I still get occasional overruns, particularly when casting light baits/lures into the wind. I'm perhaps fortunate that in my kind of fishing, line stretch, casting distance and spool capac...

Re: Docklands 11/05/2019
Nice looking fish but a bit difficult to judge the size because they are thrust so close to the camera. Can you give us something to put them in perspective?

Re: Burley Pots for Boats
I like the star drag on Denis's Alvey set-up. When a seal grabs the berley pot and tries to make off with it you can wind up the drag and give him a bit of competition.

Re: Spincast Reels
I have to apologise. My previous post applied only to the push button model, not the triggerspin. I found the push button to be very effective in all my fishing situations and easy and trouble free for my learning kids.

Re: Spincast Reels
I have to disagree with happyfriggincamper. I fished for years with an ABU spincast reel. They are designed to fish like a baitcaster on top of the rod with a pistol grip.

Re: The new Stradic......
Good day
I'm about to ask a really uneducated question. Why is a high gear ratio such a drawback. Can't you just wind slower?
(I'm sure there's an obvious reason so I'm interested to find out).
Cheers, Col.
