Geelong waterfront

A quick report.

Geelong waterfront.
Plenty of small flathead around 20-25cm and undersized pinkies. Caught one decent size nudging 41cm. Lunker city grubster 2in, zman slim swimz 2.5in.
Couple dolphins following us for few mins, pretty cool.

Re: Land based structures at Point Henry

Cheers guys. Sounds like more trouble than it’d be worth so I’ll give it a miss. Would be fantastic if they opened the warf to land based fishers, thing goes out a long way.

cant you only use 2 rods when fishing? or is that only for fresh water? if you had 2 bait rods out and salmon come in, you would have to wind in one of your bait rods to chuck the slug? I'm probably wrong here...

Geelong landbased this morning...

North wind, low tide, close to full moon. Knew it was gonna be tough. But after stressful week at work etc, I needed to go out. Went to North Shore first, to fish sheltered area from the wind. 6:30am til 8am, just few small nibbles on the bait rod with "garlic'ed" chicken (1-3kg nibble tip rod, pate...
