are you asking if mono is fine instead of braid? mono is good for bait fishing because you don't need a lot of sensitivity. i would personally always go with braid because it lets you stay in contact with the lure and you can feel everything that it touchs in the water. check out spider wire braid o...

Alvey orbiter bait cast.I would highly recommend one. I have re spooled my Shimano caius with 40 lb braid so I will see how that feels on the rod when I get back from Sydney

Went to anaconda today to get a new bait cast rod and a new spool of braid for my ultralight.

I got the Shimano raider Barra mauler, tested it at the dam and it felt nice and it was light.

Hoping to get a yellow belly on it this weekend at the local channel, wish me luck

I was thinking about that, maybe just yellas and bass then. I need to work on it before I stock it.
