All the advice I got was to go for an opti over the carby for fuel consumption and less smoke. But no problem with the longevity.

If the motor is good and the price is right it’s a goer

I agree. The prices for outboards are ridiculous.

You can buy a small car with a similar motor for the same price of an outboard.
