Offshore at Lakes Entrance

With perfect conditions forcast for last Saturday me and the brother-in-law decided to get out early and see if we could get some decent snapper from the reef. When we headed out wide past the gas rigs a couple of weeks back we noticed what seemed like some decent fishing ground in around 40m of wat...

Flathead day at the Bluff

After spending 3 days at sea at Bermagui, for no fish in the freezer, I was fired up to go fishing when I got home. Swordfish

There must have been 150 boats at the ramps in Lakes this morning. Great Autumn weather and everyone keen after the fishing ban.
This young fella had a good day.

Far too lazy to get up at the crack of dawn so we fished 11- 4:30 pm. Started acro...

Re: Lakes whiting.

I went today early to try and get away from all the speedsters ploughing up and down. Just a few school whiting and small KGW. Going tomorrow after lunch to see if I can do better.

Re: Just a thought on identification

Promised to sell the old boat before buying the new one (a year ago) but that didnt happen so I can be seen afloat now and then in either of these. Both quite distinctive: older Quintrex Fishabout and more recent RaeLine 186. Be warnerd though, that any attempt to engage in conversation will result ...
