A few more Estuary Perch from the fresh in Werribee

I have been busy with work lately but I managed to sneak out for a fish a few times during the week. The river has had a big flush out over the last week with water being released fro Melton Reservoir all the way down to the weir which made for some patchy fishing, however I still managed to land a ...

Good size.
How's the water clarity?
I went there on Thursday for a quick 1/2 hr flick, hooked a bass and dropped it.
Might head there tomorrow to give another crack on them.
Yes, the water is about the same color, bad luck on the bass

Well done persistence pays off. One thing I find with bass is before the light drops completely the shaded banks produce more active fish and earlier surface action. Also have to fish very tight to banks and structure to get results. Once again we’ll done and thanks for the report Chris it inspires...

Returned tonight for another session

I had a spare hour after work today so I couldn't help myself, I managed a few more EP's as well as a nice Redfin, the Ep's were smashing the plastic near the bank and the Redfin was caught on worms

Mate, you're killing it.
I might bump into you tomorrow :D
What's the best plastic and colour working atm there?
I have been using Munroe's soft plastics in the purple "ultraviolet color" or black, they seem to be the best colors atm

Re: A few more Estuary Perch from the fresh in Werribee

Fished about 300-400m stretch. And donut.... 🍩 I had a flick for about 40 mins after work for donuts How do you work your plastic? Hit the bottom and hop hop pause? Or steady retrieve mid water? I fish it about a meter under the surface, slow roll, the slower the better. Casting parallel to the ban...

Re: Yarra @ Millgrove - 8th Feb 2020

This evening's session started out great, bites started coming within the first five minutes. 15 mins in and I landed a 25cm River Blackfish.... Didn't get a picture, slippery sucker jumped out of my hands while I was fiddling with the phone. The bites kept coming for about 40 mins and then it went...
