Since I live in Point Cook, a couple of weeks ago I decided to give Sanctuary Lakes a go. As mentioned above there are not many land based areas to fish from but I didn't really find this a problem. Anywhere close to the entrance you can get a crab net in is worth a go. Most crabbing is done off the Bullock island jetty because of the easy access. In the Lake around town at this time of the year, you may get, Salmon, Silver trevally, and possible some bream. Under the HWY bridge is a common spot to fish as well.

Next to the rock wall at the entrance is a good spot for salmon. There is a possibility of a bream in the front lake as we are getting lots of dirty water down the rivers at the moment.
