never tried that method
It’s a good method. Many times I’ve gone for squid I’ve just left a silver whiting out under a float while casting a squid jig and it’s worked

Docklands 11/05/2019

Went down to docklands to test out a new rod today. Water was very cloudy due to yesterdays rain, so my prefered method of sight fishing wasn't an option :P regardless it was a productive session, managed about 8 good sized bream with a few pushing 40cm. Yarra snapper

Yet another successful outing today, been fishing pretty hard around the city lately and getting consistent results  Fished large soft plastics in the yarra around richmond early this morning and managed a nice snapper of 54cm. Fought very hard for its size too, thought it was a decent jew...

Rainy sesh

Went down to docklands earlier today to flick some lures, was windy early on, then the rain started up. Imagine i'll be in for a few sessions like this in the coming months. The bream seemed even more timid than usual, which quickly became frustrating. Was difficult to locate fish willing to bite an...

Re: How strong is telescope rod?

Just get a 3-5 piece rod. They're more durable than a telescopic
