Re: "Big Redfin" challenge
I dunno much about them but I pulled a 47cm fish out of the local last saturday. Funnily enough I'd hooked a bit of weed and was ripping the lure back to get the weed off and re-cast when the fish smashed it.

Re: Lake dartmouth trout.
1-3kg or 2-4kg outfits are fine mate.
Winged lures such as tassies, stingers, cobras, work far too well to dismiss. Bibbed minnows are also good to have in the spread. Rapalas such as F7-F13, or XR6-XR10. Or daiwa double-clutch. And a troll speed of 3-3.5km/hr should do the trick. Good luck!

Sanctuary Lakes breams
This is a little bit of a late report, but I believe the info can be useful. I'm trying to make the report as informative as possible (inspired by Truedogz). Believe it or not, I live in Point Cook (minutes away from Sanctuary Lakes) and this was the first time I fished there. Been living in Point C...

Last two trips of the 2018/19 trout season..(short version)
April 27th The day before season closure.. Had a hunt around on Google Earth to find a new small tannin water to try out to see if there may be a trout or two in one. Did find one that I had found several years ago and forgot all about it. Was a little undecided about going today(27th) due to gale f...

Re: Sanctuary Lakes breams 28/04/2019
Good informative report. I like your format. One of the problems with surface lures is that they tend to be pushed out of the way by the fish trying to eat them. The pressure wave in the front of the fish often pushes the lure up. This is why attaching an assist hook can really boost your hook-up ra...

Re: Bream masters forum
I loved catching luderick on the south coast of NSW. Fished for them years ago, long rod, pencil float, weed bait. I agree, clean them quickly and thoroughly and they are great eating.
