Re: Donuts at Mt Martha

Hey crew. Had another go on Saturday. Up before 6am and off to Mt Martha. Nice and quiet and isolated so no problem keeping my distance from anyone. Bit windier with a light southerly, and overcast so a little less pleasant than last time. Wife was with me, she lost a jig in the reef there somewher...

Re: Camping Regulations Q's Lake Tyers

Not sure about the first 2 Q’s as I’ve always stayed at the caravan park because I’m soft and like hot showers. There are camp grounds around the lake though. I have seen many old fires around the lakes edges so I guess people have them. Fishing the edges is productive. Boat is better as you can cov...

Re: Saturday bream sesh

Hi all, Got up early and headed to docklands for a bream session with a mate, stayed there from around 8:45 till 5. Using cranka crabs and zman grubs, we caught around 15-20 bream between us in the 8 hours we fished there, so not a bad time at all. Would upload some photos if it would let me resize...

Re: Port melb pinkies on a yak

Nice catch mate, what do you think of the slim swim bad shad? It's good! Mimicking the baitfish, almost identical. On the bottom, it looks like sorta worm or snail. Pinkie loves it, salmon hits it, even snotty trevally that usually caught on bait. Pinkies hit midnight oil too, and grub,. Actually p...

Re: Soft plastics: as many species as I can possibly catch

Now that we're managing the apocalypse, and can at least go fishing, I've been back out there. I have another rod, too -- a Daiwa Gekkas with Freams 2000LT. I still use the Itchy Twitchy, though. I've picked up some trevalley, salmon, and pinkies since getting back into it ... and dropped a garfish...

Re: How To Catch Carp On Soft Plastics

Hi, do you know where they put the information that said that you can fish within 5km of your home? I watched the press conference live hoping for an announcement similar to this in nature. I believe they usually release a document after the press conference with more detail. I think there is more ...

Re: Higher end soft plastics rod

I'm currently running an Abu Garcia veritas for my soft plastics fishing set up and I'm loving it so I'd absolutely recommend it.

Re: Higher end soft plastics rod

I'm currently running an Abu Garcia veritas for my soft plastics fishing set up and I'm loving it so I'd absolutely recommend it. Agree, veritas is good, especially for the price. I bought a couple years ago, still got one, sold the other one. Check out infeet too, it's a great rod. Anglers Warehou...

Re: Higher end soft plastics rod

Hi, I have a 1-3kg catana at the moment, but I want to upgrade to a higher end rod. It would have to be around 7'-7'2 range as I am 100% land based, and I would like the same weight class, but preferably something that would let me flick light lures further. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks...
