Re: New Landbased Spots for Spring
This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but rock fishing really isn't that dangerous unless you're completely unaware of what it is you're getting yourself into. I've taken my 11yo stepson rock fishing dozens of times and the risk is only really as bad as you want to make it. There are an ...

Re: Warneet - Bait enroute - Suggestions?
Star 2.PNG On a day that mother Nature, did not behave. Out went a Fisherman, so bold and brave. To try his luck, at a place called Warneet. But it was that cold, the rain turned to sleet. He thought how crazy, this must be mad. So he packed his stuff, as the fishing was bad. But he went to Morning...

I havne't really done any serious fishing for the last six months for a soon to be revealed purpose, so things like this actually help me to scratch that itch a little bit. I will try to respond to all the posts over the next week or so, i'm flying interna...

Re: FV snapper meet up on 13 is cancel
LB snapps are already being caught. where? is in the PPB Yes. Two pieces of advice. Firstly, snapper come out in crap weather. If you want a big land based snapper you want to fish the worst conditions possible. Onshore wind, overcast, night, rain etc. Worse, rougher weather brings them into shallo...

Re: Rock life
A couple of people PM'd me about getting into this kind of fishing and what kind of spin gear they should look at. I'll put the response here to avoid having the same conversation a bunch of times. This response is an answer to a question about a budget of 3-400 for a beginners kingspin setup. I don...

Re: Media Release: HAVE YOUR SAY TO SUPPORT VICTORIA’S GROWING FISHING INDUSTRY
Yeah right keep pushing to get more anglers but the piers are the same as they were 20 years ago ! I've sent many emails over the years that have fallen on deaf ears. Build new piers and enlarge lengthen existing piers is the best road ahead or stop pushing to get more fishing ! The new chum is auto...

Re: Sorrento pier. 28/10
Drew yet another blank at Sorrento pier this morning. Started at 4.50am, lasted until 7 ish, when more and more charter boats rocked up, and the cold was by that stage just the cherry on the cake. Cycled through a few colours, tried a couple of different areas on the pier, no joy. That's 5 or 6 tri...
