Monday arvo runout tide on the weed beds off Swan Island from 5pm to 7pm got 10 big fat tings all 39-42cm and 1 35cm leather jacket, if the tide was a bit faster may have bagged on the ting

Pinkies still at port Melbourne.

Just a short report: Productive session at Port Melbourne with lures, caught 10 legal-sized pinkies and quit. Caught 16 fish overall (14 pinkies and 2 flatheads) between 8-11pm, with the largest at mid-40s. Gave away 2 pinkies to a neighbor fisherman and released the rest. Rod: Abu Garcia salty stag...

I like my 8ft Sephia egi rod. Good for landbased and still ok on kayak. I use long handle net though, one of those berkley rubber net. So scooping into the net isn't too hard.
