I'd planned to fish into dark before it started bucketing down with rain, a hassle when fishing off the rocks at the end, so only managed to be there about an hour or two before the rain got too much with lightning and thunder. Saw some kayakers out from the rockwall who braved the conditioned and ...

Better luck next time 😃 Cheers 👍🏻 I will give it another crack, assuming on pillies, how do you hook them up so they don't just fall off haha or if anyone else knows, let me know! I’ve caught on various different baits. Fresh squid b...

Re: Sandringham again 26/11

Like bowl said, try to fish sunrise/sunset, best when coincides with the high tide to maximize your chances landbased. E.g. peak high tide 8:30pm, so fish like 6:30pm-10pm or something. Kayak fishing is another topic altogether that can be lengthy. Use the search function in this forum, there are go...

If you’re after snapper, I’ve always had luck around sunset and into the night mate.
Cheers 👍🏻

I'll go against the consensus on this one and say fishing sunrise/sunset is nice, but you really don't have too. As someone who strictly fished days and heads home well before it gets dark, you can catch plenty of species during the day. Snapper, kgw, calamari the lot. It's more about the ecosystem ...
