I loved catching luderick on the south coast of NSW. Fished for them years ago, long rod, pencil float, weed bait. I agree, clean them quickly and thoroughly and they are great eating.

That is extremely impressive record keeping. I have always intended on doing it but have lacked the discipline.

I've always wondered if sea water would be salty enough to brine the olives. The idea of constantly having to prepare salted water and keep changing it seems very tedious and thus I default to bought olives.

Anyone remember there was a fishing mag that always had a topless chick in it? I used to read all the fishing mags when I was an eager kid and that one was one of my favourites - and not for the quality of the fishing articles :rofl:

Welcome buddy! I used to fish the Canberra lakes. Never did much good on the natives but used to brain some big carp and some decent reddies. Good luck and look forward to hearing about some more Capital captures
