Re: Ya gotta laugh

My pleasure mate. Yeah I know exactly what you mean now. Those line protectors are a bit of a pain. I only use them with like 200lb+ line and big clips otherwise they don't fit nicely together like you've said. I find the teflon coated stuff like in my photos or just clear plastic tubing works best ...

Yesterday hopped a charter with the aim of catching a tuna, Shortly after the lures were set in front of Cape Schnack we had a 4 way hook up, not tuna but Kingfish. We went over a school of Kingfish which was sitting at about 15 metre level in 60 metres of water. Lost count of how many we let go tha...

Some of the Xraps the charter ran, had seen better days, as most of there colouring had been worn off, yet they st...

I've just got back into fishing over the last year or so, and I'm falling in love with it all over again. Mainly freshwater focused at this point - I do a fair bit of trout fishing and chase c...

Re: Corona virus part 2

Ok so here goes,, I’m asking this because the status of a lot of things changes every few hours, as in it’s not getting better. I understand the social distancing thing, and I would have thought that we are meant to be restricting travel to only essential travel ? Or is that a stage 2 thing ? But I...

Re: Corona virus part 2

My interpretation is it's calling on people themselves to make the call on whether or not they should engage in an activity like fishing. With everything governments have to balance right now, I think it's fair for the more ambiguous stuff to be left to people to decide using the guidelines provided...

Boat maintenance

As i am stood down and now can't go fishing its time to work on the boat. I had a fibreglass repair carried out on my boat I clipped a jetty where the rubber strip had been pulled off, I was impressed with the repair you would not pick it except for how shiny the gelcoat is where the repair was. I m...
