Re: Surprised at how "dead" this forum is.
The days of forums are dead.... There is so much information out there on Youtube and other platforms that you really don't need to ask to many questions here anymore.

Re: 10 person bag out
I edited your post for your below Forums not dead, but it's not really healthy either...bit of banter in between reports is refreshing to be honest. Wish I could post more, but getting out on the water has been tough for the last year or 2 (and when I have, the fisherman has been very average) Faceb...

Re: Westernport - suggestions for calm waters in southerly winds
If you are launching from Hastings it could be a bit of a rough trek to Gardiner’s if the weather is wrong and you are concerned. Fine on a calm day.
Plenty of good fishing north and south of Hastings along the banks/drop offs.

Re: FishingMad
I wouldn't know going by others suggestion there was a black boat following WP anglers then all of a sudden GPS marks posted. Look up the Wind against tide podcast with Dom. Yeah I’ve heard it, doesn’t mean I believe it. Gawaine has been around a long time and WP isn’t that big a system, especially...

Re: FishingMad
I am Yepi and will withdraw my support immediately if he has a subscription based site flogging off marks. Gee ... that's a bit tough! We all have skills, knowledge and qualifications that we have used to earn a living. Is Al doing anything different? Anyone can choose to buy or not buy what he has...

Re: FishingMad
Paying for gps marks is just normalized these days.. Lots of other pro fishos do it Screenshot_20220208-183233.png What this shows is there’s plenty of sheep. Yes pro anglers network but not to this scale. I know alan and have fished with him, I am not a member of his group because I don't do much ...

Re: Failure leads to success
Yepi'mon, could you elaborate a bit on "BM hooks are crap". What is it that makes them crap, and what hooks have you found to work better. I get what you are saying about the line weight, because I've heard whiting can be easily spooked. I find them of average sharpness, thicker than they need to b...

[quote=rb85 post_id=345007 time=1643413587 user_id=15773] I quite like the black magic whiting rigs even though I tie my own with a glow bead. So do you think they are actually more effective than cheaper rigs. I do believe in paying for quality if it makes a difference...
