You are fishing a fair way from the ramp to hit 17m, Usually the fish are in the shallows in the early season for the warm water, this year must be different.

Yep feel your pain Willi not fishing well at the moment.
Went out yesterday and couldnt keep a bait on with pinky snapper gorging themselves on my silver whiting and various baits, they are hard to hook on 6/0 hooks as well.

Yep went out yest morn at Willi, a few on the sounder but no buckles.
4 boats in the vicinity but did not see any movement from them either. Tried 3 other spots but no keepers.

Yer tough going went out from Williamtown yesterday fished from 4- 1hr after sunset for one small pinky which was returned.
few other boats around which didnt do any better.
We only lost 3 baits between two of us.
I will give it another crack nxt week
