Had another go today for donuts. I can confirm that a few have been caught mostly south side of Flanagan island. Very patchy and inconsistent.

They are catching them at Pt Welshpool and an odd one offshore off lakes. So I am punting on them turning up around Lakes in the next cpl of weeks.

Well I can report that they have not returned so far. All morning, all my usual spots , donuts. I will give it a week or two and try again. Meanwhile I will just have to put up with gummy fishing once the weather improves.

KGWs should turn up later in September. I am almost home from 3 months up north. Just south of Sydney tonight. Lakes Friday. Fishing next calm day after that. Will be a big prospecting day when I do

It has now. Best way to get rid of them is report them. Then we notice them.

As you go out it will slowly get deeper to about 36m then it will come up to 30 or so on the reef

I go out to the six mile in my tinnie. Just has to be a perfect day.

Bash them on the head with the attitude adjustment tool. Bust off the spikes with pliers and into the Esky. They taste great, just not a lot on them, so only keep the big ones. Fillet and skin. More people should eat them.
