One thing I like to do is take a walk around the lake, or at least areas I plan on fishing, when the water level down to get to know the lay of the land. And you don't have to waste your time just walking either, a little lure flicking helps pass the time!

Yep, them's the ones. A good little bunch on a size 8 circle hook usually sees me right. Maggots can also get the trout going at the Coliban, but I've always done best with worms.

To be honest Moeee I've never caught any thing using bait in the Coliban. Interestingly, I've never caught anything on the lure in the Coliban; plenty in the Lauriston and Malmsbury though. I was getting some pretty good trout, and a few redfin, over the autumn period using worms dug out of my comp...

I've caught Bream all the way up to Solomon's Ford.
