Re: Fresh to salt
Berley? I don't use in the Yarra, but would bread crumbs and sardines be OK at Tooradin/Warneet?

Fresh to salt
Living in the Dandenongs my fishing has been almost exclusively in the Yarra. I just realised today that Tooradin is less than an hour away :doh1: Is there any opportunity for shore based fishing around Tooradin - Warneet. Be good to have another option up my sleeve.

Yarra today
Put in a few hours at Wonga Park this morning for zero. Had been fishing for a couple of hours when a group of yahoos decided to swim in the same pool. At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man, there seems to be a distinct lack of common sense and courtesy in evidence today. So packed my stuff ...

Lilydale Lake
I've just totalled up the hours I've spent at Lilydale, from my journal. 27 hours, and not a single fish. Same sort of time in Yarra has me a bucket full. So in all honesty, does Lilydale actually contain fish, and how can it be a Premier Family Lake or whatever with these results. I've met so many ...

Eildon shoreline fishing
Going to take a day or 2 to go up to Eildon. Much that I have read about fishing there involves boats and depth sounders and deep water. I don't have a boat and suspect that carrying a depth sounder along the shore line would not help greatly. Does the shore based angler have a reasonable chance of ...

Blackfish at Lilydale
I've just been wondering if anyone has caught or heard of blackfish being caught in Lilydale Lake. I know for sure they are in Olinda Creek above and below the lake, so it seems strange not to find a few hiding in there. :water:

Merimbula visit
Just spent 2 weeks at Merimbula and the fishing is just dead. I think the water is still too cold. Nothing happening in the lake or surf, and I understand the offshore fishing is very hard work. Disappointing, but saw heaps of whales and enjoyed gallons of cappacino :waving:
