The carp there are always on the move, often along the edges. You'd be surprised how shallow even the big carp will come. Tomorrow (Saturday) is reasonably overcast so you should be able to sight them. Softs and lures have never worked for me there, but unweighted corn under a float mid water works...

A great target would be just the carp. Heaps pf places you can target them and relatively easy to catch. Find your local pond and get stuck into them. Will fight way better than most other things you would catch landbased around here, especially at this time of the year. :tu: yeah I was going to go...

Anyone have any places to just catch some fish, I've been out so much but I've only got 1 brim and a pinky on bait, I don't mind what I catch just want to practise reeling in and fighting the fish lol, catch and release as always. i know that's its winter but their has to be a few still out feeding ...

Yeah saw some guys last Monday casting to the left of the pier at Brighton looked like they were catching heaps of gars

yeah its 20lb braid, ive tried 8lb mono and 30lb braid but nothing
