Warmies. Where are the bream and Pinkies?
I have fished the warmies four times in the last two weeks catching 6 flathead, the fishing is pretty slow right now with no sign of the Bream and Pinkies that normally frequent this area. :( Must be breeding season still, hopefully they will reappear soon and I can have some fun on the soft plastic...

Re: Mystery fish at the warmies - solved
Hi Mate, I was the original post of unknown monster fish. I believe I have hooked it or similar twice now in a year. I actually seen a stingray near the boat ramp, on the opposite side rockwall two weeks ago, right at the edge, he was at least 4' across and 7 'long, so would obviously pull like a tr...

Warmies Trash
Hi guys, I was fishing the Warmies the other day and was pretty disgusted by the amount of discarded bottles, plastic bait bags, nests of line etc etc. To those who fish and leave all of their crap lying around, please take up ten pin bowling or something as real fishermen don't leave balls of death...

I’ve had a bit of success lately with the salmons around the port Melbourne area using plastics. I usually do at this time of the year and over the next couple of months

Re: Doughnuts again
After a lot of rain and a drop in temperature, the 'usual' salty fish species shut down a bit around river mouth. But can also be a sign for 'winter fish' to come around. That flush from rivers basically is a giant burley trail. Try cast metal lures or paddle type plastics in mid water or suface, m...

Doughnuts again
Well that's the fifth doughnut in a row, things have really slowed down at the Warmies for me.
Anybody else been having any success?

Re: Docklands Bream
Been doing rather well lately with bream around the docklands area and the yarra close by, averaging roughly 8-10 fish per session with a couple usually 40cm+ (all released). Been getting most of them on cranka crabs and zman grubz on a 6lb leader. Found them shy In the docklands area, I usually si...
