I saw a similar thing there at Altona about 2 weeks ago. But at that time the trailer was about 4 meters back from the ramp - under water. Someone had to go for a swim.
I was there yesterday and the dredger was hard at work. So that should improve the ramp channel.

Re: Heading out friday
Good luck today Bowl and everyone out today I’m jealous.
I just love getting out on the boat especially days like this. To catch something is a bonus for me.

Re: Barometer readings
Another +1 for Fish Ranger.
Also I go whenever the time and conditions permit.
Good info from many about barometer effects.

Re: Anchor Winch Suggestions
Hey All, So taken a winter hiatus from fishing because I'm p1ss weak, but getting ready for snapper season. One thing I'm definitely keen on this year is having an anchor winch. My boat is a 4.5 aluminium so not huge. I've been hunting around but most of the drum style ones (Lonestar etc) all look ...

Cheers yota... Hahah 5knots will take hours to get in and out.. Yeah, from memory up to the west gate bridge is 10 knots and past there it's 5 knots as far as you can get. The bridge at Crown was too low for my boat. Might have been barred off too I think ?? Again from memory I think it was about 3...

Re: Cruising....
Sure are, I went all the way up to Crown Casino about 2 months ago for a sticky beak. It's (the City) interesting from a different perspective and beautiful at night.
Just bear in mind it's a 5knot limit so can take a while there and back.

Re: Led lights
With snapper season fast approaching, was going to get a 5meter or so strip n 12v battery. Best place for led lights ,, G'day Bowl, I'm guessing you mean best place to put them not best place to buy them ? If you've got gunnels, then under there is the best place I recon. Ditto about attracting bugs...
