My first tinnie (BOAT BUILD)
Hey gang. Been mia for a while due to work n family commitments. Hope we r all well n catching plenty!
I’ve been overworked n time poor so with the spare day a week I have been getting I have been plugging away setting up my boat how I want it n I’m happy to say.. it’s setup n ready to hit the water!
Bought the 385 Quintrex explorer 18 months back solely cause the outboard was damn near new.. picked up from Mildura n headed back to Melb.
First n foremost.. I got a second hand electric motor. Fitted it before the maiden voyage.
2nd trip trailer gave way (luckily I noticed before I got on the highway home). Got a new dunbier at the boat show. N a small hook 2 lowrance to get by.
Some new seats were needed.. cheap n easy..
The wiring was a nightmare so re wired it installed mast nav interior and led spot lights.
Upgraded the electric to a new minn Kota w spot lock, removed the front rails as it was a pain at night with the led lights on I couldn’t see in front of me. Re welded side grab rails n one up front.
Upgraded sounder to a helix 7 (loving it)
With a ram mount so I can see it while driving and on the deck.
Got an iPad installed chartered waters on it as well as my music maps google earth Willy weather etc. also on a ram mount fitted to the bow
Portable speaker for beats!
New 100ah marine battery for the electric as the old one gave way.
Universal towable cover courtesy of bcf..
Voila
I’m sure I’ve missed a couple of things but that’s pretty much my boat..
Might install a livewell down the road.. n my mate is gonna wrap it so he says lol but yeah hope u enjoyed the read
Boat yet to be named open to suggestions..
Open to any other ideas I could add to it
Tight lines
Big gav

If you've got Facebook and have uploaded the pics there, on your phone hold finger on the picture and touch the download to device option. 9 times out of 10 the files are small enough to upload here
