I don't mind a bit of swell shark soup. Lol. Nah there's only a couple of Vic sharks I'd put on a plate and they've all been mentioned.

20lb is fine for gummy if they don't wrap them selves up.
Once that do the chances of landing on 20lb leader drops heaps as their skin just wears it through.

keep on using 20lb if your happy with it.

i dont use paternoster rigs for that reason either.

Yeah I know the people I fish with give me flack for fishing too heavy as they use 15lb.

How come they do this? the other day I caught a gummy shark land based, and he was all wraped up.
Was a pain in the ass cutting it and untangling it.

I haven't caught a gummy on prawns but snapper will often take a prawn when they will not touch anything else.

almost all my gummies have been on prawn my bet most of driftas gummies also would have fallen prey to the prawn as well
