Checked the forecast for this morning - "possible showers", light Easterlies. Awesome I thought.
On the water 7:30am, looking for squid, got a little one, started drizzling.
Then, a few minutes later all hell breaks loose - thunderstorm, rain, lightning. Fark I thought, better GTFO
"One last cast" - had a SP on another rod, chucked it out, a few nibbles, then bang and zzzzzzz
Not huge, but made up for a very short and wet outing!
Bad weather = good fishing

Good on you.
If I was you, I'd sh*t myself just by looking at the storm coming in from the distance. Wouldn't even think about making one last cast. Lol.

Re: Pedalled into a storm
It happened really quickly - packed up the squid jigs and was about to head back. Wasn't too far from the launch spot either, but yeah - it was hairy seeing lighting hit "something" further out and no boats out. And anything that could get wet - got soaked.
Could see all the pier fishos congregating under the "bus stop" - don't blame them!
