Yep and a heap of work done to remove willows from the river banks and replace with gums. Also work done with land owners to leave snags in the river providing habitat. Coincidently, I was in the area for work through a 'working for Victoria' program and a lot has been done over the past 6 months to reduce the amount of weeds along the Yarra. Blackberry is a nightmare to get rid of and some government organisations are reluctant to use herbicide so close to the water...
