Not bad Dosh
A guy I know took his 150 Merc 4 stroke to a dealer in Geelong to sus out no tell tail water
Labour rate was $140 per hour
Its no wonder I do all my repairs and servicing myself

Yup well all the tradies want the latest Rangers or American trucks, they are worse than the Toorak pretenders now. And all that money has to come from somewhere.. us.

If you are able to do it yourself successfully without voiding warranty that’s good.
Not sure if $140 is expensive or not guess it depends on the businesses overheads.

$140 is normal,you can't expect them to do it for nothing,but like me and you if you can fix something just as good or better do it yourself.There is a lot of information out there on youtube or just buying an online manual. When you come across something that is beyond reach well then a mechanic.I like to see people give it a go .
