Hi Guys,
Just a quick report from last night.
My friend and I met up at st kilda and launched the boat late arvo.
The plan was to first get some squid which didn’t work. Tried a couple of different spots where we have caught in the past but nothing.
As the sun was setting we decided to anchor in a spot and put out a spread of baits in 6 metres of water.
Bites started pretty much straight away but mainly undersize pinkies.
After about half an hour of non stop action without a keeper we decided to make a move.
The next spot was pretty much the same but after a few up came a keeper so we decided to stay.
We had dinner on the boat. It was just good to have some hot food!
After we ate we continued fishing for awhile longer. My mate put out some bigger baits in the hope of catching a larger size model but everytime it would get smashed by small ones so he gave up on that idea
Anyway it was starting to get quite cold so we pulled the pin and called it a night.
Even towards the end the bites just wouldn’t stop with undersize ones everywhere.
We managed to get only 4 keepers.
Fishing wise we didn’t catch too much but it was a great fun night.
Was just good to be on the water with some good company.
Cheers,
LX.

Hi All,
What type of cooker do you recommend for a boat. Any other Cooking tips for on the boat?
I generally don’t eat much when I am fishing but when I get back to the boat ramp after 5 minutes I am starving. I have a mate that generally has a spew after anchoring up regardless of the swell. He is fine after that.
Any other food rituals of FV members?

I don't have a boat, but I think portable butane gas cooktop is handy to have.Dr Snapper wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 8:35 pmHi All,
