I heard this morning the authorities were bombing the area with Die from the sky to plot the tidal movement and rips to get an understanding of which way the body may have drifted. A yoke type PFD may your life for as little as $50.. I wear one when land based and forget I'm wearing it..

If you have a heavy night on the turps yoke type PFD's make a great temporary mattress if you bomb out, it also has a pillow incorporated !
He who has the most fishing rods WINS ! :ts:

I haven't seen any actual news but if they havne't found him yet he's almost certainly dead.

Wear rock boots and a life jacket, don't go rock fishing in over a metre of swell and if you're inexperienced or physically compromised don't go alone.

I never ever go rock fishing alone!
Had a few times where if it wasn’t for my mate I don’t know where I’d be!

There's an old saying that No fish is worth losing your life for......
For that reason I have never been to Punch bowl and probably never will go there.
Plenty of other safer options available in Victoria.

I was really keen to fish off rocks at the end of potters hill rd once, got there in the morning and though better of it, just fish closer to the beach. Thought if i slipped in no one would know i was there other than my missus. Thought i should go with another person at least.

You live there mate? I like that beach down there. Had the whole thing to my self one day in summer.

Nearby the beach at potters hill can dish up a nasty shore break on its day.

That ledge has an enormous wall of rock about a metre under the surface at low tide 10m or so out in front of it. It is extraordinarily difficult to land a fish from.
