I like this Bugs. Doing stuff with your family keeps everyone close.

I don't do Martial arts, but me and my brother do a lot of dirt bike riding together through various state forests. Also we do a bit of pig and deer hunting together with my old man making memories ill have for the rest of my life.

Cheers, Anth
Been so long since I've ridden. Poor old 300 has done nothing but collect dust in the shed
I'll give you $500 for it (ask your mum 1st though)

I like the idea of it but am scared to put my sons (11 & 13) into MA as it could teach them to kick the crap out of each other even better than they can already -and then start on me!

Needs at least another 2 zero's on the end of that offer before I'd even contemplate selling the orange beast

It's like the land version of a FishPro....... on steroids.

The martial arts are a platform to develop your human potential. There has literally not been a better thing i've done with my life, and there is literally not a more positive thing a child or teenager can do to help their development.

I've forgone my high school teaching career to persue a career in the martial arts, and it's the most rewarding thing ever.

I haven't really talked about it on here at all, but tomorrow i'm getting on a plane to go and fight for a world championship, which is the culmination of why I havne't been fishing for the past 6 months.

If you guys are interested i'll post a long report when I get back, also i'm available for private training at my studio in the South East suburbs, or at Absolute MMA on exhibition st in the city.

Beating a guy who tapped Robert Whittaker at last years nationals in a fight that I had no business winning at all.

Having just promoted my new blue belts.

I'm big on Martial Arts as well.

I started off with BJJ at Dominance in Richmond. After around 5 years there I took a year off, then got back into it again doing BJJ and Muay Thai at Combat MMA and Fitness in Richmond. That was only for around 12mnth, when I moved to Surrey Hills and joined Hammers Gym doing mainly BJJ, and a bit of Muay Thai.

Now having moved to Lakes Entrance I train and teach BJJ at Bairnsdale MMA twice a week.

Here's a pic of us out of the local paper after a recent grading.

We've probably met somewhere. Deon is a monster.

All the best at the Worlds! I'm certainly interested in the report. Please share it with us when you get back.

I'm sure we've brushed shoulders before. Deon promoted me to Purple. Here is a pic from the day with Brian and Liam as well.

Let me know if you're ever looking to come out to Lakes Entrance. We can get out and do a bit of fishing on my boat if you're keen.

Ah sweet! Brian actually saved me from one of my horrible supervisors while I was a student teacher a few years back.

I'll swap you a lakes boat trip for a jits seminar ;). I'm a Stefanutti brown belt at least for the next few weeks.

Good luck mate - quite an achievement!

Any videos you are willing to share of your fights (if that's the right word sorry)?

I have a youtube channel which is a mix of fishing adventures and fights. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is not an exciting sport unless you know what your'e looking for and i'm a relatively boring fighter. The other half is a pure savage and much more entertaining than me. One day i'll get around to sorting them properly but until now it's just chronological with a couple of playlists.
