Look good idea.

Do you still add water water to Eski to make a ice bath?

Thanks Denis

Such a simple few ideas

I already do the "keeping things" off the bottom thing with a discarded bread tray

BUT, those Super Charged Polar Bear Tubes are awesome. The great thing I like is that they are custom length-ed for you esky. Definitely going to make those.

It took me a while to work out why you would fill those tubes only 80% and not right to the top , , , , the air takes up the expansion of the water , , , , Aaaaaaah  :-D

Only question: Does it matter the amount of salt you put in the water to "super charge" the cooling , , , , ie, the more salt, the colder it is and stays.

Cheers, Bugatti , , , , soon to be a cool dude :)

Why put mesh in bottom of Eski?
I use the crate mesh, the photo shows it at the bottom. You put ice bricks or a bag of ice but also 2L or 3L frozen milk containers on the bottom of the esky. The crate goes on top of that , , , , then all your food stuff sits on the crate , , , , it keeps it off any ice or water that the melting ice produces.

A good way of keeping things dry in an esky.

Our 5 day 4 night trip to Black Point, I had 3L milk bottles (filled with water) frozen, at the bottom, then the grate then our food on top. Once there the food went in the Shack fridge but the Fruit and Veg stayed in the esky. Some Shack fridges are old and unreliable and we have had Fruit & Veg freeze in the fridge section. So esky with a shelf is the safer option, and the Fruit & Veg stays cold and dry.

But those PVC tubes in the Video, if made from larger PVC may stay colder longer , , , , going to give it a go

Cheers, Bug
