Advice. Where should I go fishing?

Post by smile0784 » Thu Jul 04, 2019 6:39 pm

So I'm taking the 11 of July off and taking the boat out for a change f9r 6 hours weather permitting.

I normally fish out of crib point cos I like the ramp and has cleaning g tables etc.

I'm a bit out of contact of where the fish are.

Any help would be appreciated?

11th of July is a long way out to take a day to fish and get a reliable forecast fishranger has strong winds forecasted from the west. If you get a good day I would be starting off targeting some squid then have a crack on some winter whiting if thats your thing.

Hope the forecast improves for you mate.

I’m heading out tomorrow to have a look for some squid.

Will let you know how I go.

Seen a fair few kraken come out from flinders recently so if the weather is right it might be worth the trip down from Stony.

Depends on the weather...lol. You're a WP man yeh? With Corinella ramp being closed I haven't heard a lot from that area lately, but this is when those winter reds should be getting hungry. A nice gumbo may also come your way. Fresh baits would be a wise.

If rbs forecast is right that's the area is be heading. Punch through the garbage across North arm, duck up Gardiners and hug the island sneaking up to spit point area.
