First of all...I will be attending this event!
From the GMW site...
A delivery of environmental flows is planned to commence from Goulburn Weir on Wednesday 3 July 2019. Releases will gradually increase daily to be about 9,500 ML/d by Wednesday 10 July. The flows will then reduce daily to be between 500 ML/d and 940 ML/d by 2 August at Murchison and 6 August at McCoy Bridge. A hydrograph of this planned event is displayed below. The dates and peak flow rates for this event may vary depending on climatic conditions.
cheers

Very interesting read Jim.
Yeah, it seems the flows are to "replace" or "mimic" the winter flows the Goulburn River would have normally got prior to being dammed and regulated. Very interesting how nature works, especially as the article talks about bank stability with seed deposits from the silt in the water flow.
Mind you, Mother Nature can stop dropping weed seeds in my yard
Cheers, Bugatti

No Jim I haven't read it all
It mentions the Murray Darling basin, that turned me off straight away
The MDBA would have to be the biggest waste of time and money in the history of water management
They couldn't regulate a flow in a public urinal
Cheers Gra

Well Tex, us here in SA, get the "left-over" flow from the states upstream of us, along the Murray , , , , well, that is if there is any left-over after they have taken what they want.
It got ridiculously low a few years back. Keep in mind, these photos aren't of a tidal area , , , , it is of the Murray/Goolwa area where the water height is judged by the flow we get.
