Thursday May 16th I got to get out front for the first time in awhile. Anchored up just past the bluff in 24m of water at first light in calm conditions and got some bread and tuna pellets going for burley. It wasn't long before I had slimy mackerel onboard using unbaited flasher rigs sitting in the rod holders as I prepared the gear for gummy fishing. Baited the slimy's on 2xrunning sinker rigs and 2x twisted p-noster rigs with glow beads above all hooks, continued to burley but more tuna pellets, pilchards and bluethroat cubes every few minutes. About one hour later the reel was screaming and a good 3min later the first gummy onboard male 11.1kg, as I'm preparing the gummy for ice another one goes off landed male 12.4kg. Over the next two hours another one onboard female released and two massive runs resulting in break offs. A couple pinkie and a fish I had never caught before a sweep. Great to be back out fishing, TIGHT LINES EVERYONE AND BE SAFE.
