Cold, windy morning sesh - Stkilda pier
Cold, windy morning sesh - Stkilda pier
Went out to flick some soft plastics around Stkilda pier this morning, very cold and windy, for the most part I was the only person on the pier. Found fishing's been getting slower with the cooler weather, definitely noticing less hits, that said I still managed a few, caught a couple of salmon (bigger one nudging 50cm) along with plenty of small pinkies and a trev that got foul hooked in the stomach.

Still not a bad session mate.
That big salmon is a beauty. Would have put up a bit of a fight?
From now on there should be more of those salmons hanging around that st Kilda/port Melbourne area!
Nice pic.
Cheers

I had a similar size one on last season at lagoon pier. Was pulling some serious line from my reel. I got it all the way to the side of the pier but lost it last minute. They fight was great fun
How did you land it? Did you have a net or a stiff enough rod to lift it up?
