What I want to know is how you remember how many fish you caught at the end of the session, once I get over 15 or so in a session it becomes a ball park figure for how many I caught that session.meppstas wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 4:07 pmThat's where writing each & every trip in a diary comes in handy... Always good to look back on and see how the fishing fluctuated on each trip I did during a season.. I have all my season stats (& trips) back to March 2000..
As for the Tattslotto numbers, no good at that as I can't win a thing on it.. stick to family "birth dates"..
cheers

Bloody great numbers matemeppstas wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 3:20 pmThanks heaps guys.. it was one well overdue spin session for sure..
smile0784, I hold the record with a season total of 1256 trout.( 1167 brown trout & 89 rainbow trout.) Also caught 2 blackfish, 5 redfin, & 1 Australian grayling that I didn't add to the season tally, even though I could have done so..
That was back in the 2009/10 trout season..
Since moving to Tassie back in March 2000 I have caught a total of 9,870 trout in 1631 trips to the rivers at an average catch rate of 6.05 fish.
Brown trout: 8956.. rainbow trout: 914..
cheers

Then you had best learn to count past 15... it's not that hard ..mazman wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 8:31 pmWhat I want to know is how you remember how many fish you caught at the end of the session, once I get over 15 or so in a session it becomes a ball park figure for how many I caught that session.meppstas wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 4:07 pmThat's where writing each & every trip in a diary comes in handy... Geez Adrian, that's a stonker of a day
Total is somewhat (If I remember correctly) down on last year though. (Or was last year down because of the floods, I don't know)
Good stuff mate

Re: Good day with 21 trout caught & released.
Finished the season 75 trout down on last season Gra, trout were a lot smaller this season and few and far between in two of the better rivers for some reason.. Smaller trout was more than likely due to the large number of trout lost back in June 2016 when we lost a lot of fish as well as that seasons spawning..
cheers
