2018 Codference!

Post by April Fool » Mon Oct 29, 2018 9:21 am

Is on! I see a familiar name listed amongst the speakers as well!! I have attended the two prior conferences and have found it to be a good day. It also helps that it is only a 5 minute drive for me!

Those that have registered would have got an email today. It is looking like it will be the best attended codference yet! Me thinks I will be arriving rather early to reserve my seat in the centre aisle where the cool people sit! From previous experience, the art of reserving your seat is simple. Pick up your backpack which contains the lure and other giveaways and then enter auditorium and place your backpack along with drink bottle on your preferred seat then go back into general area and talk sh!t! Then return to auditorium and find your seat, best indicated by drink bottle while other dumb-ar5es look around for their seat cos they marked it with the same bag that everyone else marked their seat with!

The surface lure we will receive is a Kuttafurra 'Ruthless Paddler'. Similar to these or it may actually be these...pic lifted from the Kuttafurra facebook page.

So...who has registered or is thinking about it?
cheers
Jim

I'll be there, I might fish the Goulburn the day before and camp in my bed, ;-) cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

I am going to be there and giving one of the talks. There will be a major announcement plus some other news. I've been persuaded that there is a shift in direction and some great things might happen in the future. It will be up to the angling community to support the initiatives to make sure they happen.

I am looking forward to catching up with everyone on the day.

I had a tough day yesterday - I spread my dad's ashes on the banks of the Goulburn at his favourite cod spot almost 50 years to the day after he was killed. Hopefully with the news that's coming the next generation will get to experience the quality of angling for natives that he did when he was young.

This time next week it will be drawing to a close! Hot days are forecast in the lead up to Sunday as well for people planning on fishing the weekend. On another note, unless it has been mentioned somewhere where I haven't seen it, the carp virus research does not get a mention. No doubt someone will ask the question but me thinks the wheels have fallen off the push to get the virus introduced.
Cheers
Team Cod
