Salmon Locations & tips

Hey fellow fishermen, i was just wondering what lures/Lure type you guys were using atm to catch Australian Salmon? Locations for a land based fishermen? and also of any recommendations on what lures to buy atm would be greatly appreciated?

Hey mate, get yourself a couple metal slugs in different sizes (10g, 15g, 20g, 30g) and i also would get some plastics in white and silver colours. 3inch to 5inch is perfect bait fish sizes. Get jigheads to match in 1/4oz to 1/2oz weight.

All the piers from st kilda to princes pier produce. Also the warmies is a good place to start if you're based in Melbourne.

For me I always take halcos and raiders. Usually in the 40g size. Have caught heaps with them :thumbsup:

Salmon love hex wobblers from 40-55g. It is by far THE best salmon lure for me. I literally worship it because my biggest landbased fish is an 83cm salmon
