Re: Trailer advice
Do you absolutely need it now? Have a look at the costs of taking a trailer over to Tassy on the spirit. Costs as much as a trailer to take it over..

Honestly seems a bit steap for me.Thomassssss wrote:Cheers again for all the advice fellas. Did anyone get a chance to have a look at the one I posted in the eBay link? I’m gonna give Vic trailers a call in the morning and get a quote but I’m curious as to what someone with a bit of knowledge reckons of the one I linked to.
Can pick up a bew reailer for 600 to 700 and a 3 foot cage for 250.
On youe first post you asked if its over kill for your car.

That's the quickest way to rust out the floor
Soil, wood, sand and ever a mattress have heaps of moisture in them.

Re: Trailer advice
If you mean a new trailer for 6-700 it will be a p.o.s. Anything half decent that's locally made with a checker plate floor's going to be over a grand.smile0784 wrote:Honestly seems a bit steap for me.Thomassssss wrote:Cheers again for all the advice fellas. Re: Trailer advice
I got mine there also ( 750kg 6x4 3' or is it 4' ? cage ) top trailers well built.KeenAds wrote:750gvm is good all round trailer.
If its close to you go and see the guys at Victorian Trailers in Thomastown they are reasonable quality and well priced. Can do custom work as well if you wish. I have had mine for 4 years and had no problems the only thing I would do extra is get them to give it an extra coat of paint for better protection and risist chipping.

Yep, need it for the move. It’s actually cheaper for us to get to tassie on the boat with a trailer than it is to fly the family.ducky wrote:Do you absolutely need it now? Have a look at the costs of taking a trailer over to Tassy on the spirit. Costs as much as a trailer to take it over..

Heaped 6x4 trailer $100, got a cage, add another $50
More rubbish to be picked up at Mt Cottrell & only 28% of people use their vouchers

Brooklyn tip charge me $74 for a 7x5 with a cage filled to the top, as long as it's under 300kg.
