Re: Arvo shift
It’s looking like not a bad day tomorrow. Will most likely be out giving it a go somewhere as well. Good luck with the flatties

Good ideaDr Snapper wrote:I’m looking for an excuse to go fishing tomorrow (Saturday 28th).
Looks like I found it. Drifting for a few flathead at Altona / Williamstown.
I got a million things to do at home, service the rods and a few things to do with the boat but they can wait for a cold and / or rainy day.
Good luck to others who go fishing as well.
Cheers.

Re: Arvo shift
What are everyone thoughts for the best chance to get some flatties tomorrow.Lightningx wrote:It’s looking like not a bad day tomorrow. Will most likely be out giving it a go somewhere as well. Good luck with the flatties
Fishing / drifting at Altona / williamstown which is 3 to 5 metres extending out a bit deeper.
Winds are predicted to be a light Northerly which means that it will drift the boat from shallow to (a bit) deeper.
The tide will be rising. I guess fresh pillies or squid for bait on a running sinker rig and another rod(s) with a petenoster setup.
If the first few drifts don’t produce anything I will head out much deeper, maybe to point cook.
Sometimes you can overthink things. Just checking if anybody has any tips for flathead winter fishing.
Cheers.
