Re: can my Daiwa Labrax AGS be repaired?
Thanks for your responses.
I've decided to try the repair via a shop before completely discarding this $700 rod.
Will update once repaired and tested.

Yeah, as you can see from the thread, it can be repaired but it will impact the action. Dont high stick or lift fish with the rod in future. It sucks, but is possibly a good learning experience. Fishing rods just arent designed for lifting decent fish onto boats/shore. Make sure you use a landing net or gaff in the future.

I lost a few good fish by just lifting them in

You could try a small ferrule, but of course action will be changed how thick is the rod, I have some small ferrules that would work.

Re: can my Daiwa Labrax AGS be repaired?
Hello peeps..
Got the rod back a few weeks ago and just thought I'd give an update...
Rod action is still great. I think this is due to the breakage being near the 2piece joint section and not the parabolic bend. If anything the newly repaired area is much stronger now as it has a solid carbon core insert.
It cost me $70, and given the overall picture, it was either this or throw away $700....
Thanks for all the advice & comments...
