I use a shimano ocea gt rod with a Saragossa 2500 but if I had the money and it pains me to say it I would buy a saltiga. This year a game boat out of bermi got smashed on 2 Stella’s reels could not handle the fish but they were big fish well over the norm.

If you aren’t gonna cast with it just use overhead gear..

ive got confidence in myself and my technique :-D ,
id rather a spin outfit any day than an overhead.

reason i suggested to OP to stick with overheads is because he already has them.
