A dry wetsuit with a spray jacket over the top will boil the p1ss out of you inside 15 minutes and they can be a pr*ck of a thing to get on and off. Bare legs or some tights, and rug up the torso, with light spray jacket on wet or real bitter days are probably your best bet. If I had to wear a lifejacket beach fishing I reckon I'd stick to something else.
Nope and dont swim either.

Thermal top, tshirt, hoodie, down and a spray jacket if raining on the top, boardies on the bottom. Don't wear shoes, or they fill with sand. Thongs to keep you off the cold sand till the sun's up. I usually go bare foot but have had to bail once before because it physically hurt to step in the sand from the cold. I think i went 5m before calling it a day
