bermie sat 17th
We hit the water at 730 we had looked at the water temp current charts last night and we decided to head to the kink and go north from there. We picked up bait at the kink nice slimies we rigged a couple up put out the teasers and a skip bait and started zig zagging out to the first drop off.
Within 30 min dave called on the radio he was on a stripey about 80kg his 5th marlin for the trip.
We headed north but it was very quite, at 3pm we decided to head to Montague island as it was our last day here we had some great fun some of the boys had never caught kingies and couldn't believe how hard they pull within an hour we had 6 on board and headed for home Here is the photo of my mates 1st marlin he is hooked now and is coming back next year This photo is mine and davids boat outside bermie bait and tackle. Daves boat hot 5 marlin my boat only got 2 with so many missed fish year very disappointing but we will be back.

Sounds like you had some interesting moments to say the least and a good feed to cap it off!

Well done Nude, some nice fish there. Sounds like a good trip. Good on ya for getting amongst it! Nice rigs there, what size boats are they? Can't beat the cruisers for towing, awesome cars.

About 18klm to the 12 mile reef we normally work from the 12 mile out to the 90 fathom mark. Some days we cover over 100 Klm we averaged about 90 litres a day in fuelKimtown wrote:Nice work on the kings!
How many km's to the shelf from bermagui?
