Best spot for rod rack?
Hi. Looking to attach one of those bullbar rod racks to my tinny but unsure where to put it. Im thinking either on the side pocket or onto the bench seat. Thoughts?
Also what is the best way to attach it? The seat is filled with foam and wanna keep it in there.
Photo to be attached once i work it out.

Re: Best spot for rod rack?
I can't suggest a spot for the rod rack but I will say I'm not a fan of the bullbar racks, the bare aluminium will damage the rod butts when being tossed around in lumpy water, either fit inserts into each holder to protect the butts or get better quality racks with the insert built in..Hardyakka wrote:Hi. Im thinking spot 1 but depends the length of the butt of your snapper rods from the the reel seat to the butt to make sure it fits there and the rid rack will be high enough so reels dont spin on the rods and hit each other.

I have seen an arch over the outboard with rod holders on it similar to the Flats boats in the states that look like they work very well.

These can be multipurpose as well ...there is one on gumtree at the moment (boat bait board and ski pole combined)hornet wrote:I have seen an arch over the outboard with rod holders on it similar to the Flats boats in the states that look like they work very well.
(might want to get rid of the bait board unless you want a headache)
