Re: Stradic Equalivent
Do you mean like a 4000 strdic to 2500 diawa?
Is there a specific size you want compare?
Also do you want to compare normal strdic 4000 or the 4000 ci4 range.
I think there was a guy on here that bought a diawa 2000 reel but drag and spool capacity wss same as 4000 stradic but was 1/3 more expensive from memory

Re: Stradic Equalivent
I use the emeraldas as my squid reels and have used stradics in the past, I find they are pretty similar in price and performance

Re: Stradic Equalivent
Why would you by a Daiwa which only gives 1 year warranty compared to Shimano 10 years. I have a 1000 Stradic Ci4 & also a 1000 sienna Fe and I use the sienna more than the stradic it has a better feel in my opinion and the Stradic isn't worth the money for the quality difference. Plus the sienna has 4kg of drag compared to the Stradic on 3kg

Re: Stradic Equalivent
Is shimano’s 10 year warranty that meaningful given the reel needs to be serviced each year at your cost for the warranty to be honoured?

Do you get prissy at car manufacturers given the car has to be serviced at your cost, multiple times a year for the warranty to be honoured?4liters wrote:Is shimano’s 10 year warranty that meaningful given the reel needs to be serviced each year at your cost for the warranty to be honoured?

I would if a handful of services came close to the value of the carcobby wrote:Do you get prissy at car manufacturers given the car has to be serviced at your cost, multiple times a year for the warranty to be honoured?4liters wrote:Is shimano’s 10 year warranty that meaningful given the reel needs to be serviced each year at your cost for the warranty to be honoured?

Re: Stradic Equalivent
Agreed goony. Price of professional annual servicing compared to servicing or replacing when broken doesn’t make sense.
Equivalent to a Stradic would be a 2004 caldia or luvias.
But daiwa is fast losing it’s die hard customers in favour of Shimano’s longevity.
